The idea for this painting was originally about the worry of a parent. As ones children grow up you wish you could give them the knowledge you’ve gained over the years. You hope when they fledge they’ll make all the right decisions. However as I was painting, I couldn’t bring myself to paint my children falling out of trees.
After a while it sprang to mind, it’s like catching ideas. Some ideas come straight to you no trouble at all, and some ideas die, and others just run away! Their flirtation is short lived they are gone, and you are left feeling that something good hit you but you don’t quite know what.
