The original inspiration for this painting was a set of amazing black and white photographs taken during the 1950’s. These incredible pictures of steam trains thundering through the night were taken by a curiously named photographer called “O Winston Link” and are well worth checking out.
This family of bears is my family, and then as now they mean the world to me - I knew instantly with the birth of our first son we had opened up a circle and the birth of our second son the circle was complete - we are all I ever wanted and we’re dancing at the train station as our pasts drive away.
